Now this story is true believe it or not we had a client named Mark Brady who's the proprietor of footworks dot biz and he makes custom orthotics which are really cool and I really much appreciate them but one day after we had built him at least one website possibly two different websites he came into the office at the waterfront and told us about a situation that he wanted some help with which was that he had had a resident of his rental unit refused to pay the rent and also object to being evicted saying that in Oregon he had no right to toss the guy out and he also was very suspicious that the guy was dealing drugs and other type of bad business dealings over the Internet from that location so Garth Harden happened to be in the office and over here that and so the three of us agreed to go with him when he wanted in a day or two up to go into his rental unit and talk with the guy that wouldn't leave so a few days go by and the three of us go up there and on the way I thought that we should really file a police report or do something of that kind just so there's documentation and so we stopped by the office and filed a report and then went on up to his house up the hill and we went in and started talking with the guy and he was getting a little not just flustered but he was puffing his chest at us and pacing around and you know we were all in our I don't know I was probably in my 60s sixty five two ish or something and he's in his 35 and you know talking really like he's an expert at the whole scam can't throw me out thing well eventually he realizes that I have my phone on the table in front of me and it's videotaping him so he comes over to confiscate that from me and as he does reach out grock grock garth whips out from his side of him or somewhere where he had it hidden about a two foot long inch and three quarter diameter wooden closet dowel and starts whacking on the guy and then they get into a wrestling match on the ground and then anyway that gets broken up and he he runs off and calls the sheriff to come in and get these three men out of his home so which they arrive and he's the first one out the door to meet them so he's telling them all about how the three of us came in there to beat him up and showing him all his welts and problems and this and that and crying on them and so they come in and arrest the three of us and charge us with all kinds of crimes misdemeanors or attempted I don't know battery and assault and all sorts of things so then we get notices from the judge that we're all going to appear and be charged and sentenced and put in jail for 30 days and so I end up writing my plea and turning that in before but you can imagine there was a week or two that I was absolutely beside myself not knowing whether I was going to jail or not just for getting involved with the client's personal rental problem so in the end the charges were dropped but it wasn't before the guy had given us all kinds of online problems and we had to take down our website the phone numbers and all the stuff in our business and it was really a big complication so anytime that I think about doing additional business with the guy all of this stuff comes up and I'm quite flustered and frustrated not wanting to volunteer to help someone that I can't see the problems inside of what's potentially brewing I just don't see the possible scotomas there and so that's the whole story of Mark and Garth and the rental go to jails story
