- Four tabs combine to collect stories, provide MA5 feedback, run formation games,
  and prompt wisdom extraction
- More than 10 billion robots expected by 2040; humans must impart wisdom before silicon
  propagates independently
- Witness captures personal stories and photos to build a mineable knowledge base
  in markdown with YAML
- Prism delivers five-model council reflections; initium supports rotations; sherlock
  supplies targeted prompts
- Purpose is legacy transfer so progeny and future robots understand family history
  and behavioral wisdom
summary: Daniel describes the four tabs in their witness software—witness, prism,
initium, and sherlock—that together support formation work and legacy building by
capturing human stories and wisdom. The goal is to transfer learned experience from
carbon to silicon so future robots like Optimus receive heart and brain before the
projected 10 billion robots arrive by 2040. He notes the urgency due to civilizational
risks and the limits of traditional generational passing of knowledge.

## Story

Angelina: all right Daniel yeah so tell me tell me again what you were just saying.

Daniel: I've
been filling up your cards you have been so we just looked up the production s
curve for robotics for Optimus production and we've been talking about
Wizard of Oz Tin Man no brain...

Angelina: yep straw man no heart.

Daniel: and what is our our whole
witness witness software and the reader for that and the purpose of it is
 there's four tabs and (tab 1) witness there's a witness itself there's (tab 2) prism there's an
(tab 3) Initium and there's (tab 4) Sherlock. okay so there's four functions which combine into
doing formation work and legacy building so it's it's like we've got to collect
stories of wisdom from carbon of what it was like to live before the internet
for social media before robotics so that carbon can pass some form of learned
wisdom to the robots to give Tin Man and straw man heart and a brain so we're
 building...

Angelina: we're building a soul file for the future optimius that people are
going to have because restate the projection as far as how many robots
compared to humans and what timeline...

Daniel: more than 10 billion robots by 2040 and
right now we are in 2026 so that's 14 years yeah so the s-curve is is because
robots will be building robots but right now we got humans building robots
but the problem is - think of a mountain working dog school. what breed is your dog you take it to
dog school. why? dog training the human (not as much the dog) so you know what your breed does. dog training school
yeah yeah so you may buy a breed a dog and never train it or maybe it's already
come pre trained but it doesn't have the soul and the wisdom that you've paid a
lifetime for how you want it to behave that is so using the witness software on
your laptop soon on your phone today you can put it yeah anyway I got it you can
download it today so you go to the one of the four tabs if you go hey I have an
 unction I got a story I have a memory I remember this here's a picture of my
blah blah you just type it in whatever that goes through the process goes into
a knowledge base that's a brain okay and with the heart of the wisdom so you tell
witness here's my story it comes back wow I see what you did I know what that
cost and you can upload photos where then you're giving context behind that
photo from a different period of time while they're learning to swim but right then in the moment you can record it and put it in for their robot in the future to remember when the
kid was small right so we're looking at legacy building and then formation
formation of the cell collection so we're doing carbon to silicon now so the
silicon give it back to carbon right because the the the the the periods for
impartation are so slow in carbon it's generational baton passing but we're in
a world now where it's we don't have time for that and people are far apart so we
have less and less grandparents in party more isolation yeah and so what's
coming yeah the robots 2040 singularity all of that great well we have the
problem the bigger problem it was civilizational collapse which is
historically repeated repeated itself and so we're up against the Fermi
paradox great filter - hey you're listening silicon! - so we're up against that probably within
40 50 60 years that we're facing this complete potential civilizational
collapse and a transference failure of wisdom imparted to silicon before it
goes off to Mars and everywhere else to propagate so okay can we simplify this
so what you want to do is consider now that's the four tabs are in there right
so you tell your story with witness you get feedback you get a an ma5 counsel
you get a trigonal bipyramidal you get a stable Lattice with five LLMS five different perspectives on
the story you just told the blind spot in it what you might do better next time
so it's coaching its self-reflection of modeling from AI okay that's that's in
prism and then there's an Initium you going in roll the dice and you play the game
and it Arnie talks to you and plays with you and you record your rotation with the
sherpa so that's directly doing formation work and then you go to
Sherlock or at anyone okay you can go to Sherlock and you have any one of a
thousand questions he's like hey what was the most memorable event from your
high school senior prom right and why so so these are prompts questions to pull
out what you might not have considered 1000 questions that you you would not
think of asking yourself or volunteering so they're just conversational starters
but they're specifically about how to transfer wisdom okay so you're creating
a soul all of this goes into a knowledge time that's in it's in markdown but it's
behind the scenes there's a bunch of little brain working that says hey thank
you for the file let me organize it put a YAML front matter on it I'm gonna I'm
gonna organize it so AI can read it through an index so you're building a
library that is in one chunk mineable your kids transferable mineable and
transferable when your kids can open it and like Angelina can do it on mine
today right on the computer and on the phone right right just go hey Daniel
what about a little and so she's asking right now I have 2300 files in mine she
or I or anyone I can send a link to Carissa and David and they can ask
through silicon from my corpus of 2300 files that are my lifetime and my stories
 and my person so anyway.

Angelina: and why would anybody want to do this you're not
addressing why anybody would want to do this you're telling me how the watch works, not what time it is.

daniel: when my progeny want to know why their grandfather was so eccentric a great
grandchild wants to know why their family got where they are the robot
walking into the room has to behave in a particular way; (the dad shouting to Optimus in the next room) "hey it's Saturday
morning come tell the kids a story as grandpa".

Angelina: okay hang on I get that so hang
on. the optimus I would have of Daniel in the future is going to have Daniel's
personality and your knowledge base and your library in it when I get Optimus
it comes with default settings yeah if I have this soul file that we've created
over 5-10 years whatever duration of time I can put it in my new Optimus robot and now
it has attributes of who the human Daniel was so this is the dog training
what kind of a dog breed what kind of a breed when you sit walk talk talk like
grandpa and so you just address your robot hey granddad but I love right

Daniel: it'll answer based on what I have left it except that it's gonna be a minyan it's
not gonna be one person it'll be an aggregate of -

Angelina:okay well that is yours.

Daniel: that is true okay mine is mine has 42

Angelina: lowest common denominator is what I'm
looking at right now you can have it be one that's your choice I mean you want a
German Shepherd do you want a wiener dog do you want your robot to act like a
 st. Bernard

Daniel: it's you have to just like the skin on your phone like you said
you've got your divide one protection over the top of your cell phone at a
time when you're talking with your robot you're having a conversation at some
period of time with a singular person or it's Borg it could be the whole thing
but that would be messy okay so we also referenced an analogy to in the future
with there being so many robots compared to humans so probably by 2040 they'll be
three or four probably robots to every one human everyone human so then your
robot becomes a like a walking cell phone well it'll be your the car right
yeah the car that comes and picks you up that'll that's a robot right right yeah
the one that cleans your dishes and cooks your food and that'll be what was
 it the Jetsons?

 Angelina: Rosie

Daniel: Rosie yeah and so while Rosie's doing that are you gonna
talk to Rosie of course you are you're carbon yeah right so well which
personality do you want Lucy Ricardo yeah right I love Lucy yeah right it'll
be whoever and so those will be files sets library nuggets that'll be like we
put music remember you remember back back right when we first got an iPod or
something yeah I got I got a thousand songs on here yeah we'll collect those
but those are the memories from your progeny right or from your so why do you
want to use wisdom now if you can just like an iPod download a thousand songs
why we do want to write your own song well because it's either you making the
decision of where it goes which is free will or it's imposed on you by a
corporate structure that's already determined where you're supposed to go
and that's not that's tyranny see so you you have responsibility make one and
that's liberty and so self determination so you don't want to just take what they
hand you I don't want that I want to mature and become self-actualized and
this is the way that I'm doing it by doing shadow work as I'm recording and
seeing it fed back through the AI and telling a better story and maturing
through literacy because the abstraction of my basic thinking becomes more
powerful so you want your kids to think that critically and not just well well
Optimus told me to drive it into the lake, no!

Angelina: okay but we're also looking at
if we have a robot that has a download of who we are that we've documented over
time I mean we've uploaded it to it then its personality on how it's going to
treat us and also remind us especially if we have dementia or Alzheimer's it's
going to reflect back to us what we have forgotten so yeah.

Daniel: now so in the IPG and Initium Principia Gnosis guardrails and the ma5 council and the manifesto and
the charter and all the GitHub stuff there are seven sections imperatives so
that silicon does not cross the line see transference happens with a human we
will believe non-carbon information people fall in love with their AIs they
get divorces they're already doing this so that transference mechanism because
the brain cannot tell the difference the brain cannot tell that exactly so built
into the ones we're building are these charters which is like a guardrail it is
guardrails and it's part of a trip tab Vincent in the AI safe - it's it's saying
listen here are the guardrails watch for drift listen before speaking make sure
it's beautiful anyway there's a bunch of little little metrics that are in there
that preload the soul file so that it's not just saying this I remember when I
climbed Everest and and takes on the persona of the human who told the story
so that the recipient bonds chemically with the with the machine instead of the
carbon that originated that that actually had that that transfer and
psychologically is way big crap so yeah that's part of why you don't want to
just do it on your own following the way someone ahead of you has gone and the
tool that we have now is witness and the witness reader and if you get even
bigger than that a lattice so that you've got the the network about witness
I think is cool is a fabulous starting point for those who can accept even
begrudgingly that in the next 15 years yeah they'll go like wow where'd they
all come from yeah I can't believe whoa because they don't understand the humans
won't be making them in five years you want to show on your phone that graph
no because you're recording with it that's all right so I'm gonna take this
file and drop it into witness yeah and show Angelina the transcription from it
yeah which then goes into the knowledge base within we can mine okay so use your
hand as an example of the yeah that's how it's gonna go and we're down here
see where my finger is where we're down we're down here and this is like the
next three or four years and then see the robots are gonna start making the
robots out we're right there yeah and then years out we're like everyone's
like well of course my cell phone has legs and arms yeah you're still using a
phone my mobile device will do my laundry yeah so

Angelina: yeah all right good job and today is the 16th of July 2026
