summary: "Daniel Comp walks through the Scotomaville book — a 335-page, 8.5×11 full-color workbook that perfectly synchronizes the 30 video episodes of Volumes 1 and 2 into 30 corresponding chapters. He demonstrates its interactive design: worksheets for personal responses, QR codes linking directly to videos and community discussions, and a Google Map illustrating syndication across approximately 4,500 geo-targeted websites. The book positions readers as their own observers who actively game their biases while following Daniel’s guinea-pig demonstrations."

### Cleaned Transcript

**Daniel:**
Hello, I’m Daniel Comp. I’m the author and curator of Scotomaville.

In the previous clip I mentioned that I believe the greatest expedition you will ever undertake is that journey to self-understanding. And we discussed the abstract — the big picture, the overview of the work that I’ve done.

In this clip we’re going to talk specifically about the book. So if you go hover on “About,” select “Book,” you’ll see that the abstract is here for you to look through and click down a little deeper.

If you click on “Video Episodes” you’ll see that there are 30 roughly 20-minute video episodes that you interact with. You follow along in the way that we went. Those topics are here.

In the second volume I’m the guinea pig demonstrating how these mental tools and resources from Volume 1 work.

And the book is now the second edition. It’s about 335 pages. It’s full size, eight and a half by eleven. It’s a full-color, beautifully done throughout, as you’ll see here in a worksheet format so that you can respond to the content and participate with your own expedition. Be your own observer. Game yourself, as I claim.

And it has QR codes throughout so you can scan the QR codes, watch the video, go back to the book, you can go online from those and go online and discuss with other readers the content. And that way get multiple points of view that you’re probably lacking in your own awareness and understanding on the way out.

This is a Google Map on the book page that shows you the syndication of the content in about 4,500 websites across the U.S. So that means that if you happen to be in the Fort Riley area, there’s an entire website with the content specifically aimed at the Fort Riley veterans and active duty personnel.

And so syndicated in 4,500 websites — that’s 4,500 communities and geo locations. It’s, you know, kind of a big deal.

So that’s a little bit about the book.

In the next clip let’s talk about how you can participate. And you’ll see there’s a tab for participation.

So I look forward to helping you get the heck out of it.
