### Cleaned Transcript

**Daniel:**
Hello, I’m Daniel Comp. I’m the author and curator of Scotomaville. And this is clip number four in a series describing numerous things about Scotomaville.

In the first episode we looked at the abstract — the big overview of everything. In the second clip we talked about the book in detail. And then how to participate in the third clip.

In the fourth clip I’d like to talk about and show you the platform. In this case I’m demonstrating what Garth Hardin, a participant of Scotomaville, has access to.

And so when he logs in, he’s got a wall, a stream, an activity, a list of communication and things that is there along with a leaderboard of who’s leading the charge on different things.

There is a member directory for you to meet people and friend them, to follow their conversations and their journeys. Specifically you get a profile which you can share your own biography and just going through that process of describing that can help a great deal.

There is a discussion for all subscribers at all levels of each of the episodes. So the QR code in the book — you scan it and then it opens the episode for you to dig into, which has a downloadable PDF and some insights that are not in the book or in the videos. Questions that people have asked me and that the participants ask, and either I or other participants can contribute to that as a community.

And then there’s a place for subscribers — in this case Garth — to be able to share: “Here’s my video, my first episode on my Personal Everest.” Now you can have a watch at this and then give feedback and comments from each of the other explorers, which is really helpful to get other points of view. That’s the whole idea of a minion, right?

Then when you have questions that are specifically not part of the episodes — video production steps, for example — how do we or how do you follow a little what I’ve done. So in this case I share here’s the steps that I go through in producing the video and so Garth is learning that process and producing his own.

Then for mountaineer and leaders there is one-on-one ticketing specifically with me, which you can email in a question, a support question or a comment and experience, as Garth has done here, and that’s responded to by myself or Angelina.

And for leaders there’s also a leader’s guide for insights on best practices and other service providers — what challenges they’re finding and solutions that they have found, resources that have helped them. So it’s a private group just for the leader level.

So those are some of the things. There’s more — we’re building out the platform.

And of course for some, when you’ve had a success that deserves some recognition — in this case Garth’s first video — they made a milestone with producing that on his expedition. An article that was written about him that we featured in 4,500 websites. There are reports to that. So you can go — let’s pick the first one — here’s his article appearing in the Albuquerque syndication and you’ll see that it’s unique to just Albuquerque. So a bit of a perk for those of you that are interested in sharing and reaching further.

So with that explanation I hope to invite you to consider a Personal Everest — self-supported, free scaling if you like, peer-supported most highly recommended, and for those that are serious, meet with others at a mountaineer level and then consider leadership if you’re a service provider and licensing a platform of your own if you have a group that you’d like to take up a mountain.

So I would encourage you: the greatest expedition you will ever undertake is that journey to self-understanding. I hope you get the heck out of Scotomaville.
