## The story
A national magazine credit is the kind of evidence that speaks for itself. The Winter 1993 issue of Luxury Homes, "From The Publisher Of Professional Builder," ran a feature called "Rainy Day Retreat." The credit box reads "BUILDER: Comp Design & Construction, Tacoma," and the product list ends with "Finishing Tile Design: Comp Design Construction."

The article describes a 4,300-square-foot remodeled house in Gig Harbor, Washington, with California styling, stucco walls and pastel roof tiles. A solarium addition with a 22-foot ceiling, angled interior rooms, window walls and vaulted ceilings open it to the views. The finished home was valued at $750,000, excluding land.

Daniel's account is that this was the home of Don and Nancy Rose, and he has cleared us to name them (Oct 21, 2026). Their names don't appear in the parts of the page we can read. Beside the magazine sits the Comp Design Construction card, with the phone number 206-627-7404.
