# From Grandparents in Ohio to San Mateo: Daniel Comp's Earliest Moves

**Claim supported:** Daniel's earliest years were spent with his grandparents in Ohio, before his mother took a secretary job at United Airlines in South San Francisco and moved the family to San Mateo (Daniel's account).

## The story
Daniel's account is that his first years were spent with his grandparents in Ohio. Then his mother took a job as a secretary for United Airlines in South San Francisco, and the family moved west to San Mateo. That move set the stage for the California boyhood in story 14.

The map he sent pins "Crawford Rd" in Cleveland's Hough neighborhood, near University Circle and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. His archive elsewhere names Garfield Heights for this period (the Formation-1956 "attic crib" record). Those are different places, so we've asked him which is right before this story is finished.

## What the page shows
- Google Maps, captured 4/26/2026: a pin on "Crawford Rd," with "HOUGH," "Wade Park," "University Circle" and "Case Western Reserve" nearby.
- Nothing on the map names his grandparents or a year.

## Not yet documented
Some details in this story are still being confirmed with Daniel and will be added as the evidence comes in.
