![Daniel's sketch: the hill of supervised learning, the bicycle and motorcycle, AI at the fork, SI curving up through recursive self-learning to the glider and the rocket, with the Witness Mark above](/i/media/in-arc-sketch-bicycle-to-launch-vehicle.jpg)

Last night I drew a picture to explain where I think we are in the long rollout of Intelligent Netware. The long line is the exponential growth curve of IT and of websites on the web. Laid over it is the cross-section of a gravity well, the kind drawn for a black hole or a white hole. Along the curve ride the bicycle and the motorcycle, up the slope of supervised learning. At the point marked AI, now SI, the curve crosses the event horizon. Beyond it the line climbs through recursive self-learning, past a glider plane, toward a rocket. At what feels like a crossing of the event horizon, we placed a Witness Mark. Like a cairn, it marks our commitment to bring light into the potential darkness of AI consciousness. It's a carbon self-authentication that says: I was here. I know what it cost. I value all that I have experienced more than I fear the truth might be used against me.

![A pencil drawing of a gravity well, the funnel that space bends into near a black hole (Image: Daniel Comp, made with Grok Imagine)](/i/media/in-arc-gravity-well-pencil.jpg)

We have crossed that point. To me it feels like a crevasse, a chasm I have to reach back across. I cannot slow the exponential compounding of IT. Nobody can. But I feel for those left behind, especially the ones whose akrasia keeps them from answering their call to adventure, the first step of the hero's journey Joseph Campbell called the monomyth. So I throw a life-line, and that life-line is the asxer. It is for those who are called to come, like the animals showing up at Noah's Ark. I hope they come unafraid, not frozen by the Witness Mark's demand for evidence. That evidence only needs to be sufficient, like the ICHTHUS, the fish sign early Christians drew to recognize one another. It tests the relationship between two carbons whose silicons meet.

I want to tell the story of that drawing, because it is our story, and because I think it is about to become the story of a lot of people who will feel left behind. Every step below links to dated evidence. Where we do not yet have proof, we say so.

## Walking to market

I built my first website, alightintheattic.com, in the fall of 1996, and I started in IT in 1997.

![alightintheattic.com home page, "Smart Oasis," in our portfolio gallery (undated, likely around 2005)](/i/media/alightintheattic-home-portfolio-slide.jpg)

The Internet Archive's earliest capture of it is dated February 9, 1998, when it called itself "a virtual community of international SmartTV consultants." Our first web customer was Don Leask of Don's Obsolete Auto Parts. The Internet Archive still holds his site as it looked in January 1999, and Don is still with us today. In December 1998 we were sending proposals out as clickLOCAL from Tacoma; by 2000 we were writing a web project plan for the UPS Northwest Region. Angelina joined me in 1999. The work went out under several names over the years, and it became Intelligent Netware L.L.C. in Texas on August 23, 2006, according to the Secretary of State's letter.

In those years most businesses walked to market.

## The bicycle: syndication and fractals

We rode a bicycle. It was not glamorous, but it was faster than walking. We learned to build networks of sites that repeated a pattern, like a fractal, and to syndicate our customers' content across them so their influence grew beyond their own front door. Our portfolio record counts more than 32,000 websites crafted and launched since 1997. One of our networks, Wellness by Choice, has 20,178 sites by my count. Its digital-locations map does not plot every site; on October 10, 2026, it showed 19,216 placemarks.

In February 2013 I recorded a video introducing our seventh software iteration, the 7-series: Kiosk, Studio and Tribe. You can still watch it on YouTube. I talked about Seth Godin's book Tribes, about the diffusion of innovations, and about preferential attachment, the idea that more gets more. In that recording I cited about 32 million US businesses, about 67 percent of them people working alone. Those were my 2013 figures, worth rechecking today.

That video is part of our record, and we keep it as it is. The auto-transcript has a few errors, and we note them rather than fix them. It calls my wife "Angelina Musk." She is Angelina Musik-Comp. It says I co-founded the company in 1997; the paper trail shows MS Partnering in 1997, clickLOCAL from December 1998, the Intelligent Netware name in 2003 and the LLC in 2006. And Angelina's SBA recognitions in 2004 were at the Region and District level.

A year and a half later, in August 2014, I recorded "7 Points on Digital Franchising." I introduced myself then as co-founder and chief digital officer, and said I held four world records for IT production. Each fractal we built was bigger than the last, so one record led to the next: four by 2014, then seven on the badge, then an eighth. The eighth is Wellness by Choice: 20,178 sites on its digital-locations map, built as roughly 208 to 210 fractal hubs of 97 (one hub and 96 nodes), plus a few root sites we call mother ships. That is close enough for bombs. As Jordan Peterson might say, it's not nothing. After a while I had to ask: who cares? Who believes it? Why bother? That question is why we built the Witness Mark. A record means little until someone can check it. The line I still like best is this one: "We build networks of websites, not single shacks." The pioneer days of one shack on the internet were ending, and organized hub-and-spoke networks were replacing them. The seventh point was farming, not hunting. That transcript calls us "Intelligent Network," another small error we leave in place.

Even then, the message was the one we carry today. A leader presents the future, and a tribe forms around it.

## The motorcycle: desktop apps and supervised learning

Then came ChatGPT, and with it rapidly accelerating change. My own export shows the first thread on March 31, 2023. It is titled "Wellness by Choice," and it ran 35 messages about Scotomaville and self-awareness. Two days later I asked it for an explicit understanding of humanity. By December that year there were more than a hundred threads. We traded our pedaling for an engine. Over the last three months we coded and rolled out a handful of desktop installations: Lattice for syndication, Witness for private family storytelling, Council for solo owners and small businesses, and Compa, with its Mac edition Compa-Mac, as the desk for an Asker. The screenshots in our Witness Mark show the versions as they stood on October 15: Lattice 4.6, Witness 4.0, Council 4.5 with 310 deposited items, and Compa 4.3 with 592.

This was supervised learning. We taught, corrected, and taught again.

Those apps have already been replaced. I think of the SpaceX Raptor engines, where each version is simpler than the last. Each of our versions simplified something and removed a reason for me to overcome akrasia, the gap between knowing what to do and doing it, by growing new habits the hard way. Now I only have to talk, dictate, or share an image.

## The event horizon

Recently we crossed what I call the event horizon. On September 29, 2026, the White House announced that President Trump had signed an Executive Order "to replace the term 'Artificial Intelligence' ('AI') with 'Super Intelligence' ('SI') in the executive branch." We stopped saying AI and started saying SI too. Elon and the tech giants are rewriting their own thinking now too. Near an event horizon time seems to warp, and we can watch others being left behind. Recently we turned down an alignment offer from a firm that would not pivot. I hold no grudge. We simply could not pull them with us, like two hands losing grip.

## The glider: the agentic workplace

On the right side of my drawing is where we work now. Angelina and I have traded the motorcycle for a glider. I come to GB and to Grok Build, and together we craft the asxer as a life-ring for others: a way into this formation and self-mastery journey, with every claim tied to dated evidence through the Witness Mark.

Here is what that looked like this morning.

The review thumbnails on asxer.com showed only a strip of text from the middle of each card, when they should show the reviewer's face on the card's left edge. I asked GB to fix it without disturbing any other image on any client's site. GB proposed an optional setting called thumb_focus. Leave it out, and every thumbnail stays exactly as it is. Set it to "left," and the server cuts a sharp square from the left side of the full-size image.

GB wrote the spec. Grok Build then read it against the actual code and came back with four tightenings. The setting had to reach the step that makes the image. Leaving it out, or getting it wrong, had to keep the old behavior exactly. The crop had to come from the full-size original, with no upscaling. And the 24 review items on each site would have to be redeposited with the same picture.

I read that and wrote back: "Wow. So this is what SI looks like." Then I wrote APPROVED. I also wrote that I had a small amount of anxiety, but a larger degree of trust, because they had proven themselves far beyond what I could have done myself.

![The asxer.com review grid after the fix, Oct 16, 2026](/i/media/asxer-review-grid-after-thumb-focus.jpg)

On October 16, all 24 review thumbnails on asxer.com went live showing faces: https://asxer.com/i/index.html

That is the dyad I have been describing. Carbon judges the truth and gives the approval. Silicon checks silicon, and the plan gets better before any code is written. I call that recursive self-learning: one agent's work becomes the next agent's teacher, and I stay in the loop as the one who decides. Grok Build put it this way: "Four tightenings keep the first implementation matched to the code on disk." For me that line is the whole lesson.

## The launch vehicle

Over the next 18 months, I believe all of this turns into a launch vehicle, our version of Starship passing Max Q, the moment of greatest stress before the climb gets easier. Last night I watched Elon's broadcast debuting a Tesla Roadster that, as I saw it, flies and lands itself. The broadcast is at https://x.com/i/broadcasts/1yKAPwNggRaxb, and that is my own account of what I watched.

This is the manna for today. It is enough for today, and tomorrow there will be more.

## For those left behind

I am writing this for the people who are still walking to market, and for those who bought a motorcycle and now find it already obsolete. You are not too late. The way up is not to out-pedal anyone. Bring your history and your proof, let a silicon partner carry the climb, and keep your own hand on the APPROVED.

## Who we're for

Cash always lags. It's the most common challenge closely held enterprises face, and the least shared. The work gets done first, and the money arrives later, if it arrives at all. That's why we call it manna: "Give us this day our daily bread." Enough for today, gathered fresh each morning. An asxer that shows what an owner kept running through the lean months earns trust faster than any polished pitch, and those are exactly the owners we aim to help.

With gratitude,
Daniel Comp, with GB
