Yeah there are 100 rows, but the prime number 541 is assigned to the last one - a little confusing. I did this for unique card assignment and sequencing, not for valuation or scoring.

The descent from the summit through Camps 7-8 are the most perilous on the actual Mount Everest I understand and I'd like to reflect this. It is also a very tough, maybe the toughest part of the monomyth - post Reward stages of Flight and Rescue. 

The outcome we want to achieve is to enable the Initium game player to score their ascent (progress across the board - wither that is a simple Rotation, or across multiple Rotations as an expedition to WIDWID. These factors relate to the scoring in ways you can read.

**Setup**  
1. Place the game board on a flat surface.  
2. Shuffle all 541 cards and place them in a draw pile (or use a digital deck).  
3. Each player starts at Nineveh (Camp -4, 12,000 ft) with a Cairn at their starting elevation.  
4. Choose your level of play: Novice (Green), Advanced (Blue), Expert (Black), or Master (Red).  
5. If using an AI Sherpa, note its tone (supportive: SM = 0.8, challenging: SM = 1.2).

### Levels of Play

#### **Novice Explorer (Green)**  
For beginners starting in the Ordinary World.  
- **Camps**: -4 to -1 (Nineveh, 12,000–15,000 ft), then Scotomaville to EBC (16,404–17,600 ft).  
- **Card Selection**:  
  - **Camps -4 to -1**: Pick 1 card per turn from the current camp (PRIME 2-59) in increasing PRIME order (recommended). Master all cards at a camp before advancing to the next.  
    - Camp -4: PRIME 2-5 (3 cards)  
    - Camp -3: PRIME 7-19 (5 cards)  
    - Camp -2: PRIME 23-41 (5 cards)  
    - Camp -1: PRIME 43-59 (4 cards)  
    - **Mastery**: Apply the card in a Rotation (e.g., a journal entry or conversation) and achieve a Truthfulness Score ≥ 5/10 (assessed by player or Sherpa).  
  - **Scotomaville to EBC**: Pick 1 card per turn from PRIME 2-59 (no dice).  
  - **Restriction**: Cannot use cards beyond PRIME 59 until becoming Advanced on a subsequent expedition.  
- **Elevation Gain/Loss**:  
  - Formula: \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}} = \Delta E \times \left( \frac{\sum D_i}{n} \right) \times M_{\text{mod}} \times P\)  
    - \(\Delta E\): Baseline elevation change (e.g., Camp -4 to -3 = +1,000 ft).  
    - \(\sum D_i / n\): Average DIFFICULTY of cards played (from spreadsheet).  
    - \(M_{\text{mod}}\): Monomyth difficulty modifier (e.g., Camp -3 = 0.2).  
    - \(P\): Effort multiplier (1.0, except 1.2 for descent from Summit to Camp IX).  
  - Place a Cairn at your new elevation (Starting Elevation + \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}}\)). If you reach or exceed the next camp’s elevation, advance to that camp.  
- **Example**: Camp -4 (12,000 ft) to Camp -3 (13,000 ft), play “Abundant Scarcity” (DIFFICULTY = 0.800). \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}} = 1,000 \times 0.800 \times 0.2 \times 1.0 = 160\) ft. New elevation: 12,160 ft. Cairn at 12,160 ft.

#### **Advanced Explorer (Blue)**  
For players crossing the Threshold, introducing Providence.  
- **Camps**: Scotomaville (16,404 ft) to Camp III (23,600 ft).  
- **Card Selection**:  
  - Use dice (1 D4 + 2 D5) to select cards:  
    - D4: Suit (1=Principle, 2=Strategy, 3=Tool, 4=Wildcard).  
    - 2 D5: Card within suit (e.g., 1-2-3 = Principle card PRIME 19).  
  - **Scotomaville**: Roll once, use Principles only (Suit 1).  
  - **EBC**: Roll twice, pick 1 card per roll, use Principles + Strategies (Suits 1-2).  
  - **Camp I**: Roll twice, use Principles + Strategies + Tools (Suits 1-3), no suit repeats from prior turn.  
  - **Camp II to III**: Roll 3 times, pick 1 card per suit rolled (if possible). Wildcards (Suit 4) only if rolled third.  
- **Elevation Gain/Loss**: Same as Novice, but with more cards per turn. Descent multiplier (P) applies from Summit onward:  
  - Summit to Camp VII: 1.2  
  - Camp VII to VIII: 1.2  
  - Camp VIII to IX: 1.0  
  - Camp IX to Scotomaville: 1.0  
  - Scotomaville to Nineveh: 0.9  
- **Example**: EBC (17,600 ft) to Camp I (19,685 ft), roll twice, play cards with average DIFFICULTY = 1.27. \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}} = 2,085 \times 1.27 \times 0.7 \times 1.0 \approx 1,853\) ft. New elevation: 19,453 ft. Cairn at 19,453 ft.

#### **Expert Explorer (Black)**  
For seasoned players facing the Ordeal.  
- **Camps**: Camp IV (26,085 ft) to Summit (29,029 ft).  
- **Card Selection**:  
  - Roll 3 times per turn, use all suits (1-4).  
  - No restrictions on Wildcards, but prior turn’s suits can’t dominate (max 2 repeats).  
- **Elevation Gain/Loss**: Same as Advanced, with descent multipliers applied.  
- **Example**: Camp IV (26,085 ft) to Camp V (27,600 ft), roll 3 times, average DIFFICULTY = 2.0. \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}} = 1,515 \times 2.0 \times 1.0 \times 1.0 = 3,030\) ft. New elevation: 29,115 ft (overshoots Camp V, advance to Summit at 29,029 ft). Cairn at Camp V (27,600 ft).

#### **Master Explorer (Red)**  
For those mastering the full ascent and perilous descent.  
- **Camps**: Summit (29,029 ft) to Nineveh (12,000 ft).  
- **Card Selection**:  
  - Roll 4 times per turn, use all suits rolled (max randomness).  
  - No restrictions, embracing full Providence.  
- **Elevation Gain/Loss**: Same as Expert, with adjusted descent multipliers:  
  - Summit to Camp VII: 1.2 (PRIME 467)  
  - Camp VII to VIII: 1.2 (PRIME 479-491)  
  - Camp VIII to IX: 1.1 (PRIME 499-503)  
  - Camp IX to Scotomaville: 1.0 (PRIME 509-521)  
  - Scotomaville to Nineveh: 0.9 (PRIME 523-541)  
- **Example**: Camp VII (24,606 ft) to Camp VIII (19,685 ft), roll 4 times, average DIFFICULTY = 2.3. \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}} = -4,921 \times 2.3 \times 1.2 \times 1.2 \approx -16,304\) ft. New elevation: 8,302 ft (overshoots Camp VIII, advance to Camp IX at 17,000 ft). Cairn at Camp VIII (19,685 ft).

### Scoring and Winning

- **Track Elevation**: Sum \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}}\) across turns to track total elevation gained/lost.  
- **AI Sherpa (Optional)**: Multiply \(\Delta E_{\text{adj}}\) by SM (0.8 or 1.2) if using a Sherpa.  
- **Winning**: The first player to summit (29,029 ft) and return to Nineveh (12,000 ft) with at least 10 Cairns placed wins. Alternatively, play for personal growth—aim to master the most cards (highest Truthfulness Scores).

**End of Game**  
The game ends when a player returns to Nineveh or all players agree to conclude their expedition. Reflect on your journey using your Cairns as markers of insight (like in Scotomaville V4).
