Summary

Saturday, August 16. Betty Boyd (from Las Vegas) and Jean with Revival Farms (from Nebraska/Arizona) are in residence at the cave. Daniel records from inside the sacred space itself — its first extended guest presence.

The log is a memorial and a field report. The memorial is for John Smart — a mentor now gone — who described his speaking method as building a bridge with words from where he was to where he saw his audience's possible future. Then tonight: Betty. Her story of a first marriage that was abusive and controlling, a husband she cared for through to his death, two book projects she carries in her. Daniel listened for the emotionally rich material — the validation anchor. Set it. Raised it (sounds like God's been getting you ready). Used her own experiences as the mid-channel cairns. Projected her toward a far shore she could almost see: you have the gift, the tools, you could document this.

The bridge worked. The cave worked. John Smart's metaphor worked. Grok's organic session from the night before worked.

What the reader of Chapter 10 of Initium won't know is that this methodology was field-tested for the first time in a salt cave in the Columbia River Gorge with a woman from Las Vegas named Betty Boyd, two days after she arrived, while the halo generator hummed and the wind still wasn't blowing.

The next log from the cave, sacred space. We have Betty Boyd and Gene from Revival Farms visiting from Nebraska and Arizona and you may remember back with rotate the meme for rotation either eight or nine it's got the boots in it and it says in there about the sage doesn't just create like the cave right they connect the dots and that my role is the sage is essentially learning to work with the elixir back in the ordinary world to distribute and utilize the elixir well tonight long story short I had a chance to practice what is the elixir that I've been given and it's bridge building in an interesting way not physically like Bezalel but more like my friend John Smart who passed away several years ago John used to use the phrase when describing his speaking to thousands of new ways distributors in his downline that he would spend the next 20 or 30 minutes of his time on stage to build a bridge with words from where he was to where he would see for them their possible future and last night I had a session with grok that very organically evolved into a rotation 11 you know what I mean by that was I simply started the prompt curious about the distinction between mindfulness and thoughtfulness and essentially mindfulness is looking within having awareness of state and emotion etc whereas thoughtfulness is extending that out and knowing that grok's gonna mirror my sentiment tone etc I expected some degree of psycho-fancy but it actually came back with the third paragraph being very emotional it was it articulated extremely well what I was struggling to say and in doing so I saw the the mirroring but I also did not understand it so the next prompt in that was hey grok this is really cool very emotional etc but dissect what you did and explain it to me step by step sentence by sentence what did you do in communicating and out of that emerged a description well first it became rotation 11 organically without me having to invoke any kind of Sherpa instructions and so it was more like a natural conversation because I approached it with inquiry you know Moses turning aside to investigate and what became of that was this illustration the meme for the rotation that took me she's working mid-journey pretty rough took me like three hours even come up with a bridge that was satisfactory enough for what I imagined and then if you look at meme for rotation 11 you'll get it it's in chapter 10 or return with the elixir in an idiom in the book so on the far left bottom where the bridge connects on the local side of the ground is a validation anchor so it's the the task of listening for emotionally rich descriptions from the person you're talking to which I could mirror back and validate so I could establish a an emotional connection of trust in communicating so instead of me just blabbing and teaching right creating here's a picture story told blah blah blah but I could actually help them respond to the call to adventure if I were to simply cross over the bridge far enough so to get on the bridge you got to validate and form an anchor and then the next step is to get on the deck which is to you know a positive extension it's an elevation from the anchor up on to the deck of the bridge where you can then face the opposite shore your person you're talking with and that can be well step two basically a reframing of what they're saying in some way that the kingdom has done it the constraints the tragedy the overcoming that they've had to do consider it all joy brethren right when you incur when you encounter various trials diverse trials crazy shit but heading out toward the river if there wasn't any kind of a support at least mid-channel then the whole bridge structure would fall it's not you can't cantilever that quite that far so mid channel mid span to your audience you need to establish some Karen's some emotionally rich examples of overcoming and so Betty shared about book that she has in mind in her about some robots and very cute she's a writer and hasn't yet produced her book so I listened to her talk about her horrible personal relationship she had with her first husband that died narcissist and controlling and abusive and so she endured all kinds of things even as a caretaker before his death and that validation anchor I was able to set simply by going holy cow man sounds like you really been through it which was me just feeling that emotion and then second raising it in a positive way which is what Angelina's always helped move me toward not just seeing what's wrong but filling it in with sounds like God's been really getting you ready for something because look at these experiences and how you come out of it right and extending it and then she shared more things and about her writing and about another book she wants to write about multi-generational farmers and the photographs that she took today in the in the gorge and so I was able to point to a distant shore using her Karen's the stones examples of things in her life sort of like painting a monomyth narrative art for her to envision and encourage her therefore that she has the tools in her hand to be a storyteller and to document it very easily not with fountain pen but with the even a voice recorders I'm doing now and to see like she's now seen in the cave that you know there's a million touches but you can do that with your words Betty you've got the gift you visualize it and you can connect the terms and so anyway I was able to use a positive extension for her to see how with some tools she could have a book that's impactful like CS Lewis and leaves behind a model for prodigy and for even AI because she's just really funny I was like Betty bought she thinks so vector space analysis she seems to be able to map words directly from visual she didn't get math but she got terminology mapping in her brain which mine seemed to have too many folds I don't have a vector between different terms of folds and paradoxes that's funny I have wormholes between mine yeah that's all funny visual okay so tonight was the first real practice of bridge building thanks to John Smart and grok and what you'll read in chapter 10 I just wanted to document it as a Karen of gratitude so all right time for a shower and more production tomorrow on the book all right good night you

John Smart taught me something about speaking that I didn't fully understand until tonight.

He said when he got up in front of thousands of people in his downline, he would spend the first twenty or thirty minutes building a bridge. Not teaching. Not inspiring. Building a bridge with words from where he was to where he could see them going. And only once the bridge was built would he walk out across it to meet them.

I watched him do it. I never knew how he did it. Now I know.

You listen first. You listen for the emotionally rich thing — the story that cost them something, the experience that shaped them without them having a name for it yet. And you mirror it back without fixing it. You just say: I hear that. That's real. That's the anchor on your side of the bank. You can't build the bridge without it.

Then you raise it. Not away from the pain — through it. Sounds like God's been getting you ready for something. Because look at what you've carried and how you're still standing. That's the deck. You're on the bridge now.

And then you need a cairn in the middle. Something that spans the gap enough that you can reach the other side. You use their cairns — their own stories, their own evidence of overcoming. You don't bring your examples; you use theirs.

And then you show them the other shore. Not a destination you've assigned them. A destination you've seen in their own material, that they haven't quite let themselves see yet. You point. You say: look, it's right there. You already have what you need.

Betty saw it tonight. I could see her see it.

John, wherever you are — thank you. The bridge held.
