The next and final infant memory in Ohio was of walking through the snow - well maybe more like being carried into the garage by grandpa, and being sat down on a freezing cold plastic front seat of his car. I remember the back of my legs burning with cold and being terrified at what was happening. Later in life I recall seeing a black and white picture of me standing (in shorts over a diaper) near a huge glass window looking at a airliner. It was taken in the terminal where my mom had us flying to San Francisco where she had gotten a job typing for United Airlines. She must have just turned 18 so I would have been just over two years old. I don't remember anything of the trip other than looking out the window as we were crossing the country - but even that image seems a black & white imagination, and not an actual memory of the flight. I just know I felt like I was being torn away from something known and thrust into what was unknown.
